Partners
Horizon Academic firmly believes in the power of partnership and in the value of extracurricular activities and interscholastic exchange activities. Activities such as speech and debate, business competitions, Model U.N., and impart students with many lifelong skills. They also prepare students to conduct intensive research projects similar to those completed by Horizon Academic scholars. We partner or sponsor organizations around the world because we recognize the intrinsic value of their work and believe that their members are uniquely prepared to undertake the endeavor of completing college-level academic research and writing. If you are interested in learning more about partnering with Horizon, please feel free to email us at contact@HorizonInspires.com. Some of our partners include:
Journal of Emerging Investigators
Horizon is a proud partner of The Journal of Emerging Investigators (JEI). JEI supports young scientists in developing and answering their own scientific questions, evaluating their work and guiding them in thinking critically about their research and communication. JEI provides the opportunity for young scientists to fully engage in the scientific process by publishing their research through an open-access and free journal.
Princeton Debate Panel
Horizon is a proud partner of the PDP, Princeton's sole intercollegiate, competitive debating group. The team competes in the American (APDA) and British (BP) parliamentary debate formats and has enjoyed immense success both nationally and internationally, including having won the 2016 national championship and having finaled at the 2018 world championship.
Harvard Undergraduate Economics Association
The Harvard Undergraduate Economics Association (HUEA) is a forum for all students concentrating or interested in economics. HUEA strives to create a more inclusive economics community on campus and beyond because we believe economics has much to contribute in making sense of the major issues and challenges that face our generation.
National Catholic Forensics League
Horizon supports debate initiatives around the world, not only because of the numerous skills that the activity imparts on participants, but also because debate organizations and the Horizon program share a commitment to instilling research skills among gifted high school students. For nearly 70 years, the National Catholic Forensics League has been one of the largest speech and debate associations in America, hosting one of the three US "National Championship" debate tournaments each year.
Best Fit
Best Fit is a series of college fairs hosted on high school campuses around East Asia that are free for students, parents, and teachers to attend. Horizon Academic is a proud participant of many of Best Fit's fairs because we support this mission and believe that Horizon Academic allows students to sample different courses of study, which helps our scholars make better decisions about what subjects they wish to major in and which schools are indeed the "best fit" for them.
International Association for College Admission Counseling
Horizon attends and sponsors the annual conference of the International Association for College Admission Counseling (International ACAC), whose goal is “To facilitate global interaction among counselors and institutions in support of secondary students transitioning to higher education while promoting professional standards that fosters ethical and social responsibility".
